Detail Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport (1350m), transfer to hotel.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, a representative from BG Travel will warmly welcome you. Look for our representative with a display board at the arrival gate for easy identification. From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent relaxing or exploring the surroundings. In the evening, a traditional Nepalese dinner awaits you at a local restaurant, featuring Nepalese cuisine and a cultural program. The night will be spent at the hotel, preparing for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, overnight at hotel
On this day, you will explore the cultural richness of the Kathmandu Valley, visiting the Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan. Your visit to Boudhanath, one of the largest stupas in Nepal, will be a memorable experience. Swayambhunath, perched atop a hill and known as the Monkey Temple, will captivate you with its spiritual ambiance. Additionally, you will venture to Pashupatinath, situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, a sacred Hindu site. The day will be filled with cultural insights, historical wonders, and spiritual exploration. You will spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu, reflecting on the diverse heritage of the valley.

Day 04 : Drive to Khudi (800m.), 6hrs drive, overnight at Lodge.

Day 05 : Trek to Bahundanda (1310m.), overnight at tented camp
Today’s trek takes you through picturesque landscapes, passing waterfalls and following the riverbank. The trail ascends, leading you to the charming village of Bahundanda, where you will spend the night. Bahundanda, situated on a hill, offers an enjoyable setting. In the evening, you can explore the local villages, stroll around the area near the school, and immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere of this hillside village. The day’s journey provides a blend of natural beauty and cultural encounters in the heart of the Himalayas.

Day 06 : Trek to Chamje (1430m.), overnight at tented camp
Leaving Bahundanda behind, today’s trek leads you to Syange village, descending through fields and local settlements, which takes approximately 2 hours. After a brief descent and crossing a long bridge over the Marsyangdi River, you reach Syange. The trek then ascends steadily from the river, with the final steep climb bringing you to Jagat. Continuing on a rocky path, you’ll encounter a long picturesque waterfall spanning the river. The day’s journey concludes at Chamje, where you will spend the night, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Himalayan landscape.

Day 07 : Trek to Dharapani (1920m.), overnight at tented camp
Starting from Chamje, the trek continues with the crossing of a suspension bridge over the deep Marsyangdi River. After traversing the bridge, a steep ascent awaits for the next 2-3 hours until you reach Tal, a village situated on the gorge beside the Marsyangdi River, featuring a captivating waterfall and sandy riverbanks. The trail then follows the stream, leading you to Dharapani. As you progress, you navigate uneven trails, cross several suspension bridges, and pass by small teashops. Eventually, you arrive at the serene and expansive village of Dharapani, where you will set up camp for the overnight stay.

Day 08 : Trek to Koto (2600meter), overnight at tented camp.

Day 09 : Trek to Dharmasala (3230meter), overnight at tented camp.

Day 10 : Trek to Kayang (3740meter), overnight at tented camp.

Day 11 : Trek to Phu Village (4050m.), overnight at tented camp
On this day, the trek follows the riverbed, passing by some mani chortens. Afterward, you ascend from the riverbed until you reach the entrance of the Phu valley. Approximately an hour’s walk from the valley entrance, you cross the Phu Khola and begin the ascent to the Phu village. The night is spent at a tented camp in Phu Village, allowing you to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of this remote and culturally rich location.

Day 12 : Excursion around Phu valley, overnight at tented camp
Today is designated for rest, providing an opportunity to explore the enchanting surroundings of Phu village. You may choose to ascend a bit more into the valley, allowing for a deeper exploration of the natural and cultural wonders this remote location has to offer. The day’s activities and leisurely exploration will be complemented by an overnight stay at the tented camp in Phu village.

Day 13 : Trek to Junam (3550meter), overnight at tented camp.

Day 14 : Trek to Nar Village (4150m.), overnight at tented camp

Today’s journey involves a climb to Nar Village (4110m). The trek continues on a long but moderate path along the side moraine of Temdenzon Khola, offering beautiful views. As you approach the base of Kang La, the camp is set up in Nar village, providing a comfortable overnight stay. This segment of the trek showcases the scenic beauty and gradual ascent through the Himalayan landscape.

Day 15 : Explore Nar Village, overnight at tented camp
A well-deserved rest day is planned for today, allowing you to explore the surroundings of Nar village at a leisurely pace. This break provides an opportunity to soak in the unique atmosphere, interact with the locals, and appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Whether you choose to wander through the village or venture into the nearby landscapes, the day will be filled with cultural and scenic discoveries. The night is spent at the tented camp in Nar village, ensuring a peaceful and rejuvenating rest.

Day 16 : Trek to Ngwal (3675m.) after crossing Kang La pass (5315m.), overnight at tented camp

Today’s trek is both challenging and rewarding as you tackle the Kang La pass at an elevation of 5280m. The journey involves a brisk ascent to the crest of the pass, where you’ll be greeted by a chorten and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. After reaching the peak of the pass, a steep descent follows, and within an hour, you’ll find yourself on a grassy trail leading to Ngawal. The camp is set up in Ngawal, providing a well-deserved rest after the day’s exhilarating trek.

Day 17 : Trek to Manang (3550m.), overnight at tented camp
As you progress on the trail today, expansive grasslands unfold on both sides, and below a rocky mountain, the picturesque Braga village comes into view, adorned with its splendid monastery. Along the route, you’ll encounter large chortens and mani walls, surrounded by the towering peaks of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna (7455m.), and Tilicho Peak (7134m.). Following a brief, steep ascent, you arrive at Manang, a significant village in this isolated peak region. The day’s journey offers spectacular vistas and cultural highlights, with the night spent in the welcoming surroundings of Manang.

Day 18 : Trek to Letdar (4250m.); towards Thorung La pass, overnight at tented camp
The journey continues towards Thorung La today, starting with a traverse of a river and an ascent to Tengi at 120m above Manang. Progressing further, you ascend, passing through the Marsyangdi Valley, heading northwest until you reach the valley of Jarsang Khola. While enjoying stunning vistas of the Annapurna mountain range, the trek leads you beyond lush vegetation of juniper and alpine grass to reach the small village of Gunsang. The trail then proceeds through striking meadows and dense forests of juniper and barberry, following a large stream originating from Chulu West, Gundang. Finally, the trail takes you to a rich grazing land, offering a picturesque and diverse landscape along the way.

Day 19 : Trek to Thorung high camp (4800m.), overnight at tented camp
Leaving Letdar, the ascent is gradual until reaching a ridge, followed by a descent to the Marsyangdi River. Crossing the river via a covered wooden bridge, the trail involves a slight climb along the steep path on the bank. Continuing along a narrow track across an uneven vertical slope, you ascend to Thorung High Camp. This high-altitude camp serves as the resting place for the night, allowing you to acclimate and prepare for the challenging Thorung La Pass the following day.

Day 20 : Trek to Muktinath (3800m.) after crossing Thorung La (5416m.) Pass, overnight at tented camp
Crossing Thorung La at 5416m, the trail immediately becomes steep after leaving the camp. The ascent continues for about 4 hours, gradually becoming less challenging. As you climb, prayer flags and a chorten mark the pass, revealing stunning views of snow-capped peaks, the Kali Gandaki valley below, and the hills of Mustang. Descending from the pass, you reach Muktinath, where you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views of Dhaulagiri. The trail transitions from moraines to green slopes, leading to a pleasant walk alongside the Jhong Khola Valley that brings you to Muktinath.

Day 21 : Trek to Kagbeni (2895m.), overnight at tented camp
From Muktinath, the journey continues towards Kagbeni, passing through Jhong (Dzong) located on the northern part of the valley. This segment provides a glimpse of the remote Mustang region, showcasing its unique communities and being part of the Sakya Buddhist tradition. The night is spent at a tented camp, offering a peaceful setting in this culturally rich and distinctive region.

Day 22 : Trek to Jomsom (2713meter), overnight at hotel.

Day 23 : Fly back to Pokhara (820m.), overnight at hotel
The journey concludes with a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, a short and scenic 20-minute flight. Pokhara, known for its natural and cultural attractions, awaits with its lakes, Hindu and Buddhist temples, caves, and stunning mountain views. From the north region across the hills to the panoramic vistas of Phewa Lake and the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri ranges, Pokhara offers a diverse and picturesque landscape. The night is spent at a lodge in Pokhara, providing a comfortable and relaxing end to the trekking adventure.

Day 24 : Drive to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel
The return journey from the picturesque countryside takes about 6 hours, bringing you back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and unwind. Overnight accommodation is provided at the hotel, allowing you to reflect on the memorable trekking experience and enjoy the comforts of Kathmandu.

Day 25 : Transfers to airport, departure onward destination

As your adventure in Nepal concludes, our airport representative from BG Travel will accompany you to the airport, ensuring a smooth departure. Farewell to Nepal, and safe travels on your journey ahead.
