Following breakfast, the day will commence with a guided tour to the cultural world heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley. This includes visits to the Hindu pilgrimage site of Pashupatinath Temple, the largest stupa in the world – Bouddhanath Stupa, and the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. After exploring the surrounding areas, you will proceed to Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is rich in historical temples, unique architectures, and features the Kumari, the living goddess. In the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion where you will be introduced to your fellow trekking staff for the upcoming adventure.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Bhandar (2,511m/8,240ft), 9-10 hrs drive
In the morning, we depart from Kathmandu to embark on our extensive trek to Everest. We will take a reserved bus or jeep, making our way to Bhandar via Jiri, traversing through the picturesque Nepalese countryside. Jiri, a significant town and hill station, offers opportunities to explore the surrounding area. We will spend the night at a hotel in Bhandar.

Day 04: Bhandar to Sete (2,575m/8,446ft), 4-5 hrs walk
Following breakfast, our trek commences with a descent to Likhu Khola. After crossing the bridge, the winding path takes us to the charming village of Kinja. Following a leisurely lunch, we embark on a gradual and lengthy uphill climb, passing by numerous farmhouses and terraced fields that offer splendid views of the surrounding landscapes and distant villages. After a few hours of a demanding ascent, we reach Sete, a quaint Sherpa village nestled on the ridge amidst a picturesque rhododendron forest.

Day 05: Sete to Lamjura pass (3,530/11,578) to Junbesi (2,680m/8,790ft), 6-7 hrs walk
The trek for today involves a gentle ascent, passing by a few scattered farmhouses and teahouses amid the enchanting rhododendron forest. The journey leads to Lamjura Pass, the highest point between Jiri and Namche Bazaar. Following the pass, the trail descends through the forest and, after about one and a half hours, reaches Taktor. We traverse on the north side of the valley, circumventing a notch before descending to the Sherpa village of Junbesi, where we will spend the night.

Day 06: Rest day at Junbesi (2,680m/8,790ft)
The Junbesi area is rich in exploration opportunities, and a day spent here provides various alternatives. A two-hour walk to the north of Junbesi leads to the village of Phugmochhe, home to a traditional Sherpa art center. Along the way to Phugmochhe, a brief detour allows for a visit to Thubten Chhuling, a sizable Tibetan Buddhist monastery located about an hour and a half’s walk from Junbesi. Alternatively, you can opt to spend the entire day leisurely exploring the surroundings, with an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 07: Junbesi to Nunthala (2,330m/7,642ft), 5-6 hrs walk
Below Junbesi, the trail crosses the Junbesi Khola using a wooden bridge. Immediately after the bridge, a trail junction is encountered. The path to Khumbu takes the left-hand trail, leading uphill. This trail eventually turns north, descending through Salung. On a clear day, Mount Everest becomes visible towards the northeast from this point. Following the shepherds’ huts and a concealed route in a dense forest, we cross several picturesque streams on wooden bridges just before reaching Nunthala (Mani Dingma) at an elevation of 2,320 meters, where we will spend the night. Nunthala is an ideal village for an overnight stop.

Day 08: Nunthala to Bupsadanda (2300m/7,544ft), 5-6 hrs walk
Departing from Nunthala, our descent continues to the Dudhkoshi River Bridge, and the trail winds through terraced fields and residential compounds. The journey persists through forests, followed by an ascent on terraces, ultimately reaching the Rai village of Jubing (1,667m/5467ft). From Jubing, the path leads to a gradual climb around a ridge, progressing to the village of Khari Khola, and then ascends the steep hill to Bupsa.

Day 09: Bupsadanda to Surkhe (2,290m7, 511ft), 4-5 hrs walk
Today, our trail ascends from Bupsa, leading to Bhumsing village (2,300m/7544ft). The path continues on the north side of the valley, reaching Puiyan village (2,796m/9170ft). Beyond Puiyan, the trail takes us on a long winding path with a few small ups and downs, ultimately arriving at Surkhe.

Day 10: Surkhe to Phakding (2,610m/8,561ft), 4-5 hrs walk
Following breakfast, we initiate our ascent to the north towards Chaurikharka (2,713m/8898ft), a sizable scattered village featuring a monastery and a high school. Chaurikharka serves as the breadbasket for the Khumbu region, benefiting from fertile land suitable for cultivating barley, wheat, and an abundance of green vegetables. As we proceed, our trail merges with the route from Lukla to Phakding, resulting in increased activity with more trekkers, porters, and pack animals. After a few hours of a scenic walk, we reach Phakding for our overnight stay.

Day 11: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft), 5-6 hrs walk
Following breakfast, our journey continues along the banks of the Dudh Kosi River, crossing it twice via small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo, which serves as the entrance gate to Sagarmatha National Park. Upon entering the park boundary, we descend, and a gradual walk leads us to a suspension bridge over the Bhote-Koshi River, bringing us to Jorsalle village—the final settlement before Namche Bazaar. Namche is a thriving trading town and serves as the capital of the Khumbu Region.

Day 12: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar.
We will dedicate a day to acclimatize in Namche Bazaar at an altitude of (3,440m/11,283ft). This rest day allows our bodies to adjust to the elevation. You have the entire day for leisure activities, such as visiting the Everest View Point hotel for a breathtaking panoramic view or taking a stroll around the market. If it’s a Saturday, you can witness a bustling market where locals gather for their weekly shopping to meet their daily needs—the only shopping market in the surrounding areas. Additionally, you may explore the Sherpa Museum, offering valuable insights into Sherpa culture, the history of mountaineering, and then return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Namche to Tyangboche (3,867m/12684ft), 5-6 hrs walk
Following breakfast, our trek commences with a delightful walk through the forest, offering magnificent views of the Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kwangde peaks, along with the eastern snow-capped mountains. The trail ascends through the forested path, presenting a challenging yet rewarding journey to reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche is renowned for its breathtaking beauty, with the first notable sight being the impressive monastery. As you continue, a large field with campsites, teahouses, and lodges unfolds beneath the towering and majestic Ama Dablam peak, creating a picturesque scene in the Himalayas.

Day 14: Tyangboche to Dingboche (4,358m/14,295 ft), 5-6 hrs walk
The trail descends from Tengboche, meandering through the rhododendron forest and reaching Deboche. After crossing a bridge over the rushing Imja Khol River, the path hugs the valley wall and traverses the plains to Dingboche, marking the initiation of the Imja Tse Valley. Dingboche serves as the gateway to Chukung and beyond, leading to some of the most challenging routes toward the Makalu area and Hinko Valley, including Sherpani Col (6,100m/20,008ft) and Amphu Laptsa Pass (5,780m/18,958ft).

Day 15: Acclimatization day at Dingboche
On this day, you will take a well-deserved rest before embarking on the final leg of the journey. You can opt for a full day of rest, or if you’re feeling up to it, there are options for a day walk. A trek to Chhukung (4,730m) is worthwhile and takes approximately 3-4 hours from Dingboche, towards the east within the Imjatse Valley. While the trek is gradual, you will notice the thinning air as the altitude gradually increases towards Chhukung. In Chhukung, there are a few teahouses that offer an excellent view of the snow-capped peaks and glaciers. After enjoying the scenery, you can leisurely stroll back to Dingboche for an overnight stay.

Day 16: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,928m/16164 ft), 5-6 hrs walk

After breakfast, the trek to Duglha begins with a climb through the Khumbu Khola valley, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Passing by Dusa, a yak herder’s place, the valley narrows as you traverse Phulung Karpo, the 1953 Everest Expedition campsite. The landscape unfolds with the sight of Chola Lake and the majestic Mt. Pumori (7138m). Continuing through Duglha, you climb the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, reaching Chupki Lhara with memorials to Scott Fischer and Babu Chiri Sherpa. Descending to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, you encounter great peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal, entering the vicinity of Everest. Overnight stay is at Lobuche.

Upon reaching Gorekshep and checking into the hotel, the journey continues with a climb to the top of Kalapatthar, a renowned viewpoint. Despite its modest height, Kalapatthar provides the most stunning views of Mt. Everest, Pumori, and Ama Dablam, offering a panoramic spectacle without the need for further ascent. Afterward, a leisurely stroll back to Gorekshep awaits for the overnight stay.

Day 18: Trek to Everest base camp (5,300m/18,204ft) and stroll back to Pheriche (4,200m/13,776ft), 8-9 hrs walk
Following breakfast, the adventure proceeds towards Everest Base Camp and the Khumbu Icefall. The trail navigates rocky dunes, moraines, and streams until reaching the base camp, where climbers gather for summit attempts during the high expedition season. Afterward, the trek retraces its steps back to Gorakshep and continues on to Pheriche for the overnight stay.

Day 19: Pheriche to Kyanjuma (3,500m/11,480ft), 5-6 hrs walk
As you descend, the terrain becomes more forgiving, allowing for a faster pace. Cherish the memorable moments and proceed downhill towards Phungithanka via Tangboche. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, the trek continues towards Kyanjuma, a junction connecting the paths to Gokyo Valley, Khumjung village, and Namche Bazaar. The descent offers splendid views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache, and Lhotse. Amidst the rhododendron forest, you may encounter diverse wildlife, including various species of Pheasants, Himalayan Griffons, Musk deer, and wild goats.
