Detail Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel.
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and facilitate your transfer to the hotel. In the evening, BG Travel will host a welcome dinner for you at a local restaurant.
Day 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley
After breakfast, the day begins with a guided tour to some of Kathmandu’s most historical and spiritual landmarks. These World Heritage Sites include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the renowned ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath), and the Buddhist shrine (BouddhaNath), one of the largest Stupas globally. In the afternoon, a pre-trip discussion is scheduled, allowing you to meet the trek leader and other team members. During this session, you’ll receive a briefing about the upcoming trek and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. The night will be spent in Kathmandu.
Day 03 : Drive to Arughat by Bus (640m) – 8 hrs
Our trekking staff will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning, and we will proceed to Arughat, which serves as the starting point of the trek. The journey includes a 3.5-hour comfortable drive from Kathmandu to Dhading Bensi, followed by a 4-hour bumpy and winding dirt road to Arughat. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 04 : Trek to Soti Khola (775m) – 5hrs
We follow the Budhi Gandaki River towards its origin, passing through the villages of Morder and Simre until we reach the Arkhat River. After Arkhat, the ascent is gradual as we make our way toward Kyoropani. We camp near the confluence of the Seti River, providing an ideal spot for a refreshing water bath. Overnight accommodation is in tented camps or lodges.
Day 05 : Trek to Machha Khola (900m) – 5.5 hrs
The trail descends gradually until you ascend to the mountain ridge at Almara. Passing through the forest trail, you reach Riden Gaon. The valley here cuts into the other side of the river to enter Budhi Gandaki. Upon reaching Lambesi, the trail descends to the sandy river bed of Budhi Gandaki. Camp is set for the night at Machha River. Accommodation is in tented camps or lodges.
Day 06 : Trek to Jagat (1,340m) – 6 hrs
Following the crossing of Machha River and Khrola Besi, we encounter a hot spring called Tatopani. The trail continues through a forest and reaches Dovan, with the massive Budhi Gandaki flowing below. As the elevation increases, the rapids and scenery undergo a complete transformation. Overnight accommodation is provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 07 : Trek to Filim (1610m) – 4 hrs
After ascending to a terraced hill of Saguleri and enjoying the view of Sringi Himal (7,177m), we continue towards Sirish Gaon. The Gandaki valley narrows from here, with soaring precipitous walls. Overnight accommodation is provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 08 : Trek to Bihi (1990m) – 6 hrs
We follow the trail upstream of Deng River, passing through a tiny village of 4 houses. Walking through a newly built rock tunnel from here, we avoid the traditional steep climb towards Ghap. The Tibetan culture becomes evident with Mani stones and chortens all around. Overnight accommodation is in tented camps or lodges.
Day 09 : Trek to Lihi (2920m) – 6 hrs
After crossing the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki, we follow the path lined with houses interspersed with cultivated fields. At Namru, there is a police check post. After Namru, we cross the Hinan River originating from Linda Glacier and continue on to Sho. Naike peak, Manaslu North (7,774m), and Manaslu (8,150m) are visible from here. Overnight accommodation is provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 10 : Trek to Samagompa (3,500m) – 6 hrs
After Lho, you will pass the stone gate and a long Mani stone wall of the village with a full view of Peak 29 ahead. You can make a side excursion to Pungen Glacier from here to get a very close-up view of Manaslu. Follow the lateral moraine of Pungen Glacier toward Sama. From the village of Sama, it takes another 20 minutes to reach Sama Gompa for overnight accommodation in tented camps or lodges.
Day 11 : Rest at Samagaun for acclimatization.
Visit a beautiful glacier lake called Birendra Tal and, on the way to Birendra Tal, explore the oldest monasteries. There is an opportunity to trek to Manasalu Base Camp and return to Samagaun, which takes about an 8-hour round trip.
Day 12 : Trek to Samdo (4,500m) – 4 hrs
Today, we climb a terraced hill on the opposite bank of the Budhi Gandaki River towards the most remote permanent settlement, Samdo. Amid the most severe conditions of nature, some 200 villagers live in around forty houses. Overnight accommodation is provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 13 : Acclimatization and exploration day in Samdo
We will spend a day acclimatizing to the thinning air. It is recommended that your body adjusts to the high altitude in preparation for higher altitudes in the days to follow. Overnight accommodation is provided in tented camps or lodges. There is an opportunity to take a day trip to the Tibet Border and return to Samdo for an overnight stay; this day trip takes about 8 hours.
Day 14 : Trek Samdo to Dharamsala about 4 hours ( 4460M).
Explore the surrounding area and overnight at a tented camp or lodge.
Day 15 : Cross Larkya La (5,215m) and trek to Bhimphedi (3,590m) – 8 hrs
We first ascend towards Cho Chanda and then proceed steeply uphill towards the snowed-up pass. From the top, the panorama is magnificent, including views of Himlung Himal (7,126m), Cheo Himal (6,820m), Gyagi Kung, Kang Kuru (6,981m), and Annapurna II (7,937m). The descent is steep, through moraines, towards Bhimphedi. Overnight accommodation is provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 16 : Trek to Tilje (3,900m) – 5 hrs
The route becomes more manageable as we commence with a gentle climb through paddy fields towards the small Karcha La pass, then descend through fig tree and rhododendron forests to reach Tilje. Overnight accommodation is provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 17 : Trek to Tal (1,725m) – 5 hrs
Continuing our journey, we follow the trail downstream along the Marshyangdi River, passing through scattered villages until we reach Tal village for our overnight stay. Accommodation will be provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 18 : Trek to Jagat (1,300m) – 5 hrs
Today’s trail runs gently downstream along the river, passing through the villages of Chamje and Himal Pani. We will have an overnight stay at Jagat. Accommodation will be provided in tented camps or lodges.
Day 19 : Trek to Baundanda (1,275m) – 5 hrs
Ascending gently for 30 minutes, the trail then runs gently down to Sanjee village, followed by a 15-minute ascent to Gharmuu Phant. From here, another 2 hours of easy walking and a 30-minute ascent will take us to the village of Bahundanda. The overnight stay will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 20 : Trek to Beshisahar – 5 hrs
The trail runs gently downstream along the river, passing through the village of Naadi. From here, the trail takes you to the bank of the Marshyangdi River, passing through the towns of Bhulbhule, Khudi, all the way to Besisahar. The overnight stay will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 21 : Drive back to Kathmandu by Public or reserve Bus – 7 hrs
After a 7-hour drive from Besi Sahar, you will arrive in Kathmandu, and the overnight stay will be at a hotel.
Day 22 : Rest and shopping day in Kathmandu.
Day 23 : Departure to you own country.
