Featuring possibly Nepal’s second-largest Gurung village, it showcases preserved Gurung culture, local lifestyle, and handicrafts. Attractions include cloth weaving and ancient water-driven flour mills. With fewer trekkers, the area provides a serene experience amid terraced hills, vibrant flora, fauna, soaring eagles, and panoramic views of Machhapuchhare and Annapurna. Exploring off the beaten path offers a unique cultural experience, walking through untouched forests and high alpine routes used by shepherds. Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu valley, overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara 6-7 hours.

Day 04: Pokhara to Kalikasthan (1370m)

Day 05: Kalikasthan to Lama Khet (1680m)

Day 06: Lama Khet to Siklis (1980m)

Day 07: Siklis to Neuli Kharka or Forest camp (2200m)

Day 08: Forest Camp to Ghale Gaon (2000m)

Day 09: Ghale Gaon to Pokhara

Day 10: Sight-seeing tour in Pokhara

Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Detail Itenerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Depending on the arrival time, there may be an opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Explore the World Heritage sites in Kathmandu, including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath (Shiva’s temple), Boudhnath, and Swoyambhunath.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (6-7 hours)

Choose between a tourist bus (approximately 7/8 hours with breaks), a private car (approximately 5/6 hours with breaks), or a flight (30 minutes). Arrive at Pokhara lakeside and transfer to the hotel. Depending on the arrival time, there may be an opportunity to explore the surrounding areas. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Pokhara to Kalikasthan (1370m)

Take a 30-minute drive to Bijayapur Khola (Bijayapur Army Camp), the starting point of the trek. The route passes through rice fields, ascends through Rakhigaon, and gently climbs along a ridge towards Kalikasthan.

Day 05: Kalikasthan to Lama Khet (1680m)

The trek passes through local villages and rice terraces up to Mardi Khola, crossing Bhaise and Nawaldanda to reach Lama Khet, a small village surrounded by lush green hills.

Day 06: Lama Khet to Siklis (1980m)

The trail remains flat along the river bank until reaching Khilan Gaon. It then follows a path that gradually ascends, reaching Siklis, one of the oldest and largest Gurung villages. Overnight at a teahouse or camp.

Day 07: Siklis to Neuli Kharka or Forest Camp (2200m)

The route passes through rhododendron and oak forests on a gradual ascent before leveling out. Overnight at camp.

Day 08: Forest Camp to Ghale Gaon (2000m)

Once again passing through rhododendron forests, the trail descends steeply to reach Ghale Gaon, a small village mainly inhabited by Gurung and Magar communities. Overnight at camp.

Day 09: Ghale Gaon to Pokhara

The trail gently descends to Hyamgja (1070m), where a vehicle awaits to take you back to Pokhara.

Day 10: Sightseeing tour in Pokhara

Enjoy an early morning sunrise from Sarangkot and visit popular tourist attractions, including Devis Fall, World Peace Stupa, and boating at Lake Phewa.

Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. If time permits, explore local markets and do some shopping. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Departure to International Airport

Our vehicle will drop you off at the International Airport for your departure.
