Detail Itenerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m / 4264 ft]
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport (KTM), you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can either rest, explore the surroundings, or visit our office. In the evening, a Welcome Dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant with a cultural program awaits you.
Day 2: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Embark on a guided tour to historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu, including Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. The afternoon features a pre-trek discussion, meeting your trek leader, and addressing any queries regarding the upcoming adventure.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara [823m/2,700ft]: 6 hrs drive
Take an early morning tourist bus to Pokhara, enjoying the scenic journey through picturesque countryside. In Pokhara, explore Fewa Lake, go boating, and have an evening for leisure and shopping.
Day 4: Fly to Jomsom & trek to Kagbeni [2,858m/9,375ft]: 3-4 hrs
Board an early morning flight to Jomsom, offering spectacular views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Trek to Kagbeni through the windy Kali Gandaki riverbed, a crucial trade route to Tibet.
Day 5: Kagbeni to Chele [3050m/10,004ft]: 5-6 hrs
Commence the trek, passing through Tangbe, Chhusang, and reaching Chele village. Enjoy the diverse landscape with buckwheat and barley fields, apple orchards, and the impressive conglomerate formation.
Day 6: Chele to Syanbochen [3475m/11,398ft]: 6-7 hrs
Trek to Syanbochen via Eklo Bhatti, Taklam La Pass, and Samar village. Experience the cool streams, juniper trees, and visit the ancient Ramchung Cave.
Day 7: Syanbochen to Ghaymi [3520m/11,546ft]: 5-6 hrs
Embark on a trek to Ghaymi, passing Yamda La and Nyi Pass. Witness the red chunk of conglomerate and explore the third-largest village in the Lo region, Ghaymi.
Day 8: Ghaymi to Charang [3500m/11,480ft]: 4-5 hrs
Trek to Charang, visiting the Ghar Gompa with ancient rock paintings and passing through poplar tree avenues. Explore the white dzong and red Gompa in Charang.
Day 9: Charang to Lo-Mangthang (3700m/12,136ft): 5-6 hrs
Trek to Lo-Mangthang, enjoying views of Nilgiri, Tilicho, Annapurna I, and Bhrikuti peak. Explore Namgyal Gompa, Tingkhar, and the historic attractions of Lo-Mangthang.
Day 10: Explore Lo-Mangthang
Explore the local attractions, including Namgyal Gompa, Tingkhar, Champa Lakhang, Thugchen Gompa, and the Rajas palace. Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Day 11: Lo-Mangthang to Drakmar [3810 m/12,500ft]: 6-7 hrs
Trek to Drakmar via Gyakar and visit the Ghar Gompa with rock paintings. Explore the local area and experience the dusty wind in the afternoon.
Day 12: Drakmar to Ghiling [3806m/12,484ft]: 5-6 hrs
Return to Ghiling, experiencing the dusty wind in the afternoon. Explore the surrounding areas and prepare for the trek’s final leg.
Day 13: Ghiling to Chhuksang [3050m/10,004ft]: 5-6 hrs
Retrace your steps to Ghiling and continue to Chhuksang for the overnight stop. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and the Himalayan view during the journey.
Day 14: Chhuksang to Jomsom [2700/8,856ft]: 6-7 hrs
Trek to Kagbeni, marking the end of the upper Mustang trails. Join the Annapurna Circuit trek and head to Jomsom. Optionally, visit Muktinath if you have an extra day.
Day 15: Fly back to Pokhara
Take a morning flight to Pokhara, enjoying the stunning views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Explore the lakeside and relax at the hotel.
Day 16: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Embark on a scenic 200 kilometers drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the picturesque landscapes. After reaching Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and spend the evening leisurely.
Day 17: Fly Home: Farewell Friend
Bid farewell to the mountains as your journey in Nepal concludes. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight, a representative will transfer you to the airport. Reflect on your adventures in Nepal and start planning your next Himalayan expedition.
