Khumbu Trekking

11 Days

The Mt. Everest region, home to the Khumbu Valley, stands out as the most renowned and sought-after valley in Nepal, and arguably across the entire Himalaya. Beyond being the territory of Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, it is also the ancestral home of the legendary Sherpa climbers, widely recognized as the most iconic mountain people. Referred to as Sagarmatha, meaning “mother of the universe” in Nepalese, Everest is accompanied by other towering peaks in the Khumbu region, including Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, Amadablam, and Island Peak, with Makalu visible just a ridge away.

This trekking paradise of Khumbu Valley offers unparalleled mountain splendor, often considered the jewel in Nepal’s mountain crown. The journey through this region is diverse, introducing encounters with Lamas, visits to Gompas (Monasteries), sightings of Chortens (stupas), and encounters with Mani stones (prayer wheels), all contributing to the cultural richness of the trek. The Khumbu Valley is a haven for those seeking a unique and breathtaking experience amidst the majestic peaks of the Himalayas.
