Langtang Gosaikunda Trek
GosaiKunda is an alpine lake in Nepal's Langtang National Park, located in the Rasuwa District. Gosaikunda lake is the major attraction of the Gosaikunda trek, but apart from that we will be able to enjoy the forests and mountain view of Annapurna, Ganesh and Langtang. Gosaikund height is 4380 meters from sea level. Gosaikunda is religious place of high importance for hindu and buddhist, hindu pilgrimage visit the site in high numbers during Janai purnima. We will experince the tibetian lifestyle during the whole Gosaikunda trek.
The weather in gosaikunda in cold, it is one of the snowy area near Kathmandu, during late winter this area is almost covered in snow

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m.), transfer to hotel
Upon your arrival at International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by BG travel in restaurant.
Day 02: City tour & preparation in Kathmandu (1300m)
Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (BouddhaNath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. At the noon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members. We brief you regarding your trek as well as provide you opportunity to ask any questions and you may have regarding your upcoming adventure. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1462m): 7 hrs driving
Early in the morning after having breakfast we will drive to Syabru Bensi (1,470m) via Dhunche. Your adventure begins! Passing through many small villages on the way will fascinate you with snippets of everyday living in these villages. On the way you will see the superb view of the Himalaya, including the Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and the peaks of Langtang region.
Day 04: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2500m): 6 hrs walking
The trail initially crosses the Bhote Kosi, following down from Tibet, and then gradually climb up through the sub tropical forests, teeming with bird – life, to join the trail from Syabru. At the end of trekking you have short climb to the Lama Hotel.
Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang (3430m): 5 hrs walking
Today, the trek route follows Gumanechok, Ghoda Tabela literally it means the Horse Stable. After this the trail is slightly gradual and beautiful in the valley with the grazing Yaks. Langtang village is very local and a very old village of this trekking route and the views from here more spectacular as we get closer to mountain. There is a monastery which you can visit shortly before arriving at the village Langtang, the headquarters of the Langtang National Park.
Day 06: Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3730m): 4 and half hrs walking
Today is a shorter walk but enough for acclimatization. The trail climb gradually through small villages and yak pastures. The surroundings are interesting also because of the famous Cheese factory. Kyangjin has a vivid setting as it is surrounded by snow capped mountain from all side. You can enjoy panoramic views of Kyangjin Ri (4750m), Tserko Ri (5000m), Ganja La (5160m), Langshi sa – ri (6427m), Dorji Lakpa (6430m), Naya Kanga (5844m), Yala Peak (5500m) and so on.
Day 07 : Kyangjin Gompa Rest and Exploration
Kyanjin Ri (4,800m/15,748ft) and Tserko Ri (5,000m/16,404ft) are the good viewpoints in the area that you can climb. After the breakfast visit Tserko Ri (5000m) for spectacular view of the langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge lirung Glacier. Back to guest house for Lunch having short rest and walk around the Kyanjing valley with guide. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 08 : Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2340m): 8 hrs of walking
Today you retract to Lama Hotel. All the way downhill but you will see fantastic views of towering mountain what you have missed on the way up. Take more time and suggested you to walk very slow. Overnight in Lama Hotel (2,470m/8,104ft).
Day 09: Lama Hotel - Thulo Syabru: 5-6 hours
First trail decent to river, cross the river and ascend to Thulo Syabru. You will see the fascinating view of Langtang Himal and more. On the way of your trek you will pass through pine and Junieerps forests. Overnight in Thulo Syabru(2,230m/ 7,316ft).
Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa, 3254m, 5 walking hrs
You take the broad trail climbing up to Dimsa village and the trial continues less steeply, through rhododendron, hemlock and Oak forests to Shin gomba. On the way of your trek you will see fantastic views of Langtang Himala and langtang valley. Shin gomba is another popular place for Cheese. Over night in Shin gomba (3,330m/10,925ft).
Day 11: Shin gomba- Gosainkunda: 5-6 hours
The trail ascends smoothly through rhododendron covered point to the top of the rim and through a forested area. The area in-between Shin gomba and Laurebina Yak is a sanctuary for the red panda, an endangered species that the Nepalese call cat bear. You return to the ridge path and climb a wider route through alpine country to arrive at a Gosainkunda. Explore around the Lakes and overnight in Gosainkund (4,460m/14,632ft).
Day 12: Gosainkunda- Gopte: 6-8 hours
Today is a bit challenge day; the trail is climb, rough and crosses moraines. Passing three more small lakes, the trail ascend and cross Laurebina La (4,609m/15,121ft) after the pass, the path down to phedi and you continue walk up and down through out crossing a rocky hill with pine, rhododendron trees. Overnight in Gopte(3,440m/11,286ft).
Day 13: Ghopte to Kutumsang (2446m): 5 and half hrs walking
Descending from the ridge at Ghopte, the trail makes numerous ups and downs across ravines and the boulders of old moraines. The trail slightly descends and then begins to ascend through the rhododendron, oak and juniper forests up to the Tharepati (3510m). Trek downhill with only one small ridge to cross en route. Stop at Kutumsang, an interesting typically old-fashioned Helambu village. Attractive Mountain views as well as local peoples' life style, culture; customs would be worth making you glad.
Day 14: Kutumsang to Chisapani (2170m): 6/7 hrs walking
A pleasant walk down to the Pathi Bhanyjyang goes through forests. A shorter day but with descends and climbs to Chisopani, where the view of the whole central Himalayas is breathtaking. You can see Himalayan range from Manaslu to Everest. Landscapes will be reflective in the evening and early morning hours.
Day 15: Chisapani to Sundarijal then drive to Kathmandu: 6 hrs walking
We start the day by climbing up the last pass of the trek at Borlang Bhanjyang, at 2240m. From here we descend steeply through deeply eroded chasms towards the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka (1800m). More super views while descending to the road through oak and rhododendron forests, with some pine a lower altitude. Now it is a short trek to Sundarijal as we walk past the local water supply system and follow the water pipe to this village. From Sundarijal we can take local transportation, or have our private transport waiting for us to bring us back to Kathmandu.
Days 16: Kathmandu free day
Today is the free day in Kathmandu. You can have shopping. In the evening you will have farewell dinner in authentic Nepali restaurants with variety of cultural programs.
Day 17: Final Departure
Our representative will drop you to the Tribhubhan International Airport and give you Khada, for good luck.
